Welcome to the Arts Society North Staffordshire web site

Established in 1986, the  Society is the leading arts society in the area and offers its members a stimulating programme of lectures embracing the whole spectrum of the fine and decorative arts. The lectures are presented by expert speakers, many of whom are well known through their work on television and radio. Lectures are held on the second Tuesday of the month in the Forum Theatre at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.

The Society also offers a number of social events including day visits to places of interest, a matinee performance at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford, an annual five day cultural holiday and a Christmas lunch. These events are charged at cost.

If you have an interest in any aspect of the arts then this is the society for you.

Members are encouraged to participate in the work of the Heritage Volunteers ( past projects include the Wedgwood and Spode Archives ) or the  Church Recorders ( part of a national project recording the monuments and artefacts of local churches )

We are an independent society affiliated to The Arts Society, previously known as the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS).

At present there are vacancies for new members. More information may be obtained from the Membership Secretary on 01782 617557.
